Beautiful Bride Boutique

when i began searching for the perfect wedding gown, i had no idea where to actually begin. so, i started googling bridal shops in my area, made some appointments and just jumped right in.. to some awful, not so awful and finally amazing experiences.  i started at a chain dress shop which felt like such a business for the employees (because it is).. these girls came to work, did their job, went home and seemed to have zero interest. i tried a small shop which had nothing but the most elaborate, lacy, beaded, 400lb dresses.. not my style. next i tried a shop in town that had lovely gowns but employees who were rude.. and despite finding a dress i thought i liked they were not getting my business. so i took the style number of the dress i liked and googled which other bridal shops in my area carried this designer.. i ended up at beautiful bride boutique (west boylston, ma)   and had THE BEST experience.  this cute little shop is home to some of the most lovely gowns you'll e

Happy 31st Birthday Benjamin

today is your day my love and nobody deserve to celebrate more. thirty one times around the sun has made you the most amazing human i've ever met and this year has been my favorite yet.  we've traveled from ogunquit beach to orlando, florida. kissed in front of cinderella's castle. eaten our weight in ice cream and oysters. thrown surprise parties, celebrated weddings and retirements. planned our own wedding(s) and drank a bottle of champagne at brant point after legally tying the knot. followed our dreams, started new jobs, accomplished countless goals and laughed every second of the way.  you are my christmas morning and lazy sunday afternoon all at the same time. yours is the only face i look for in a crowded room and the last one i want to see before i fall asleep. life would be utterly boring without you by my side. happy birthday benjamin. i love you with my whole heart. here's to another year of dream chasing and memory making.

thoughts.. ideas..

howdy friends.. can you believe summer is almost over?! where the heck do the months ago? although part of me is sad to see these long, warm days coming to an end.. a larger part of me is so excited for fall. the crisp air, the oversize sweaters and plaid, the warm coffee, the leaves that look like they're on fire, the apples and pumpkins, cozy nights by a fire.. guys, i'm the ultimate basic bitch and i'm totally fine with that! i'm so happy i started blogging again. i love sharing our adventures, my thoughts and everything random in between. i enjoy sitting down to write posts and it's so nice to have a place i can look back to relive special days. and i really hope you all enjoy my posts and benefit in some way or another from them. so today, i'm looking for ideas.. i'd love to hear topics you all would like to read more about. please, please share and i'll do my best to deliver! you guys are the best for coming back each week to support me.. love

Nantucket Food Guide

if you've never visited nantucket island, you most definitely have to add it to your bucket list.. its new england coastal charm is unbeatable. about 30 miles south of cape code and formerly a hub for the whaling industry, this little island offers endless shingle cottages and colorful flowers, amazing beaches, cobblestone streets, zero traffic lights and delicious food.  by no means am i an expert on nantucket's culinary scene, but through our travels have tried lots of eateries on the island. it's so easy to keep returning to our favorite spots but ben and i make it a point to try new restaurants and have been pleasantly surprised on numerous occasions.  so if you're anything like me and your day revolves around (hopefully good) food, i think my list of restaurants will come in handy during your visit.  breakfast. petticoat row bakery this has definitely become our go-to while on-the-go breakfast spot on the island. for the most delicious breakfas

A Nantucket Wedding

the small little island of nantucket off the coast of massachusetts is the most lovely destination in the summertime. the cobblestone streets,  hydrangeas, beaches, oysters.. so much new england charm.. it's perfection and my most favorite place to visit. ben and i started a tradition of traveling to nantucket each summer and it's a week i look forward to so much. it's also been a place where we've made some of our sweetest memories that we'll treasure for a lifetime. we got engaged and married on the island!  okay, lets take a step back because you're probably a little confused when i said we were married on the island.. but you may also remember a few blog posts ago when i mentioned we were planning our 3 weddings.. yup, that was not a typo!  ben and i decided to do a destination wedding in the dominican republic in september.. after talking with a few friends and my future sister/brother-in-law who did the same thing, they all were legally m
