Cisco Brewers

happy sunday friends and i apologize for my nearly month long hiatus.. i was kind of busy.. you know, nothing big, just GETTING MARRIED!

well, i'm back and have so much i want to talk about from our wedding(s) and dominican republic trip but i need to organize myself first. i plan to separate things into multiple posts so it doesn't make you 3 weeks to read a super long one.. so bear with me please.

in the mean time, i have a couple posts ill share from the summer before i lose track of time and it's winter.. can you believe it's already fall!! summer flew by.. so sad.. but fall is my absolute most favorite time of year! i've already started baking and surrounding myself with pumpkins.

okay, here goes..

cisco brewers most definitely needs to be on your to do list during a nantucket trip. every time we visit the island, the locals tell us the best time to be on nantucket it in the fall (which i've yet to do) so it's most definitely not too late to visit this year (plus the hotel rates are soooo much cheaper!)
cisco is a super laid back environment with drink options for even the pickiest of drinkers, food trucks, live music, dogs.. what more could you possibly ask for?
this place also hold a special place in my heart because it's where ben proposed! this crazy man of mine thought it would be a great idea to ask me to marry him in front of the entire place.. he's lucky i said yes. (read about our engagement here) and despite me turning the color of a lobster and being completely overwhelmed, it was a wonderful idea!

so each summer during our annual trip to the island, we make sure to plan a day at the brewery. this year really sealed the deal as a special place because it's where we spent our wedding day! i like to think my husband is lucky.. what guy spends his wedding day at an awesome brewery? yeah yeah.. i'm equally as lucky.. don't you worry, i know this!
i highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance to visit nantucket (and i hear they just opened a second location in portsmouth, new hampshire).

cisco has three different buildings which all share a common patio space and each offers something different.. cisco brewers serves beer, nantucket vineyard serves wine, sangria and frose and triple eight distillery serves delicious craft cocktails. so, like i said, something for everyone! they also have tours, free shuttles to and from town, live bands and a variety of food trucks. such a cool place to chill out for a day. and.. as they self proclaim, "we are just about the coolest place on planet earth. having never personally traveled to other parts of the galaxy, we can't quite say 'in all the milky way' but we're pretty confident that we would make the top 10." if that doesn't sell you on visiting, i'm not sure what will.
it was my brilliant idea to get the coffee stout when it was 80 degrees outside.. so yummy but heavy and a better choice for cooler weather.
so i switched to frose which was much more appropriate choice. and then i ate all the oysters!
